stranded and solid connectors
Connectors are offered in a stranded and a stiff version.
All connectors contain pointed blades on the inside, also called conductors.
With a stranded cable, the conductors pass completely through the core for the best possible connection. This is due to the thin copper wires.
When stranded connectors are used for stiff cable, the conductors do not go all the way through the copper wire or even shoot past it.
So make sure that if a connector needs to be mounted on a cable with a solid core, the correct connectors are used.
We indicate for each connector whether it is suitable for stranded and stiff cables.
