Nowadays almost everyone has a TV, an amplifier, a media player and possibly a Playstation or XBOX at home. These devices are usually all found in the living room. It is logical and convenient to have these devices together in a central location. What can be less convenient are all the cables attached to these devices. These cables can look very messy and can cause you to lose track. Fortunately, there is a simple solution for this: cable ties . By tying your cables, everything looks neat again and it is very easy to connect a new device, for example.
Cable ties are available in different types and sizes, various options are described below.
Tie all cables together
One of the options you have for binding your cables are tie wraps. Tie wraps are very easily available and are therefore a simple solution for you. However, tiewraps are not reusable because they must be cut to release them. This is a disadvantage for some people. Another option is cable ties that can be secured with Velcro. The price of these cable ties is somewhat higher than tie wraps, but they are easy to reuse.
Use a cable duct
Easily usable cable ties are tie wraps or ties with Velcro. Do you prefer neither? No problem, there are even more options to organize your cables. An example of this is the cable duct. A cable duct is a hollow flat ribbon that is placed at the bottom of the wall. By running the cables through this, they are nicely concealed and you will no longer be bothered by them. A cable duct is often chosen when a power cable needs to be brought to the TV, speakers or other equipment. You can neatly conceal these cables using a cable duct. A disadvantage to this is that the ribbon itself cannot be neatly concealed and therefore remains in view.
Cable hose
Another option is the cable hose. A cable hose is a long plastic spiral, which can also be compared to an old-fashioned telephone cord. You twist this spiral around your cables, making it one whole. This is a very easy and fast way of tying cables. However, it is difficult to store the cable hose. By bringing the cables together in the spiral, the whole becomes, as it were, one large thick cable that does not fit through a cable duct.
Cable box
Finally, you can also consider the cable box. A cable box is a small storage box that you can easily store behind your TV cabinet or under your desk. With a cable box you can neatly store your cables while simultaneously supplying power to your devices. You can store not only your cables in the box, but also a socket. So twice as convenient!
