The Mini-GBIC (SFP) transceiver offers professional quality for any network application. This specific module is designed for use with multimode fiber optic cables and complies with the 1000BASE-SX standard.
With an 850nm wavelength, this module is the perfect choice for shorter-distance connections, such as in server rooms, between switches in the same rack, or between floors (backbone). Its maximum range is 550 meters (depending on the quality of the fiber optic cable). Thanks to its MSA compliance, the module works seamlessly with switches from various manufacturers. The DDM (Digital Diagnostics Monitoring) feature allows you to easily monitor the connection's status and signal strength.
