Which network extension cable should I choose?

The answer to this is quite simple: choose an extension cable that matches the cable you want to extend. So if you currently have a Cat5e network cable , then you also choose a Cat5a extension cable. If you have a Cat6 network cable or higher, then you choose the Cat6a extension cable.

Will an extension cord make my network slower?

We are often asked if there is any loss when using an FTP or UTP extension cable. The answer is simple.

There will be a loss of speed. In practice, however, in 99% of the cases you will not notice this. Why? Because this loss is very limited. So it is not something to worry about.
