Choosing the right RJ45 pliers

We are happy to help you choose the right network pliers. Our most important advice: choose a solid metal variant.

Metal or plastic?

If you want to use the UTP pliers more often, you are wise to go for a metal RJ45 crimping pliers, these have a longer lifespan than the plastic version. If you also want to crimp other versions than RJ45 connectors, you can choose a special crimping pliers that have multiple options.

Crimping pliers for "easy" connectors

In addition, we supply a special crimping tool for "easy" RJ45 connectors . We see that more and more customers are opting for the new easy Cat5e connectors and easy Cat6 connectors . Here, the wires protrude through the connector at the front so that the order and connection is always correct. This special crimping tool not only crimps the connector, it also cuts off the protruding wires at the front so that it is immediately ready for use.

A UTP pliers also crimps FTP plugs

An RJ45 crimping tool is often called a 'UTP crimping tool'. This is because a UTP cable (unshielded) is the most commonly used network cable . But good to know: our crimping tools are also suitable for crimping FTP connectors.
